Cong Rong Pian is a laxative formula. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that Qi deficiency leads to intestinal conduction weakness, while Yang Deficiency leads to intestinal loss of warmth and weak bowels movement, prolonging bowel movements and forming constipation.
