The Natural Health Centre was established in September 1998 and operated as a service orientated health shop in the Northmead area of Benoni. Over the past 26 years our customer base has steadily increased and many of our clientele are referred to us on a "word of mouth" basis. Our reputation exceeds our name both amongst our patrons as well as our suppliers. We pride ourselves on retaining excellent working relationships and retaining our niche in the market.
It is encouraging to note that in addition to our strong customer base we are well established with alternate health care practitioners as well as a few medical doctors. Many homeopaths, herbalists, naturopaths, acupuncturists etc. use our business as a dispensing and nutritional support outlet. As a one-of-its-kind business our shop services therapists and their clients in the East Rand and surrounding areas. We make it our mission to provide service that is exceptional to these clients and endeavour to ‘go the extra mile’ in any way we can.
The Natural Health Centre is run as family business and our business ethic follows in retaining the warmth and personal-attention that is synonymous with family businesses. We are a dedicated husband and wife team working together for the past twenty years.
Jaymati Kunvar, fondly referred to as Jay, is a qualified UDE (teachers graduate) with over 40 years of experience in the healthcare field. Jay has trained as a Primary Healthcare Advisor and was registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council and is a Registered Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner. In 1998 Jay successfully passed the Certificate examination in Ayurveda with SAAMA. Her clients regularly enjoy the rare pleasure of one-to-one interaction with a qualified advisor. Jay frequently attends lectures and training courses offered by our suppliers and various other healthcare associations. Jay’s speciality lies in advicing clients on lifestyle and nutrition and she prides herself on being able to offer a tailor-made well-being solution to them.
Arvind Kunvar, Jay’s husband, is a B.Com graduate with over 50 years of experience in business. His various business ventures as a general dealer, in wholesale as well as in the retail sector has given him the experience and expertise to expertly manage this business. Arvind handles the administration of the business, ensuring that ‘back-of-shop’ processes are smooth and problem-free. He enjoys a friendly, light-hearted interaction with our clients and often has many gloomy faces walking out with smiles and laughter.
